The Eudora Police Department has mounted cameras on the streets of the city of Eudora, and the chief of police says they are a crime deterrent.



Chief William El-Amin says the cameras went up about a month ago and he feels like crime has substantially dropped since they were installed.



“The crime rate basically dropped over night,” El-Amin said.

Thieves are caught on SkyCop cameras breaking out a car window and stealing the victim's cell phone, laptop, and credit cards. They then went to Kroger where they attempted to transfer $900 from the stolen credit card to some Home Depot gift cards. When the Kroger employee asked for ID the suspects fled the store.
